3D BREAST ANATOMY THROUGH LIFE STAGES
Project Type Dissertation for University of Dundee’s MSc Medical Art Program
Media 3D Interactive Digital Models
Software ZBrush, Sketchfab
Audience 3rd Year Medical Students
For my dissertation, I worked with an anatomy professor at my University who requested 3D digital models of breast anatomy to supplement the 2D resources they are currently limited to in their third-year medical student anatomy class. The project included three models that show the changes in breast anatomy throughout possible life stages of a female: non-lactating, lactating, and post-menopausal. The 3D models were built in ZBrush and then imported into Sketchfab so that the students can interact with them from all angles. Screenshots and labelled diagrams were also included within a dedicated website to supplement the models.
